Christmas Text Santa Appeal
Last Christmas, the Oakley Group supported ITV’s annual Text Santa Appeal. Text Santa raises funds and awareness for families in difficulty at Christmas. The funds raised are split equally amongst the following charities; Macmillan Cancer Support, Make a Wish Foundation and Save the Children.
Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity
Royal Brompton Hospital has accepted the first patient in its new state-of-the-art Hybrid Theatre, which will transform the treatment of heart patients.
The Theatre combines complex imaging equipment in an environment where different surgical procedures can take place at the same time; series of procedures which would normally take weeks, or even months, can be done on the same day. The first hybrid theatre operation took place on 9 November 2015.
Oakley are proud to have been a long-term supporter of the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity, and to have been able to contribute towards the charity’s challenge of raising £4.5m funding for the new theatre.

Royal Trinity Hospice
On Friday 16 October 2015, a group of 10 volunteers from across the Oakley Group, spent the day at the Royal Trinity Hospice’s warehouse in Balham. The day was spent sorting through donations and dependent upon their value, either sending them to be shipped to stores across London, or listing them on Amazon. Royal Trinity Hospice is a charity which provides skilled, compassionate end of life care to individuals, and support to their families.
Jeans for Genes Day
On 18 September 2015, the Oakley Group raised money for Jeans for Genes. The money raised on Jeans for Genes Day funds a range of initiatives that improve the quality of life of children who are affected by genetic disorders.
JP Morgan Charity Run
Each year, a team from Oakley participates as part of the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge, a timed 3.5 mile run through Battersea Park, which raises money for different charities each year. Last year, the run was held on 8 July 2015, and raised money for Age UK, the UK’s largest charity working with older people. This year, the JP Morgan Charity Run will take place on 21 July 2016 and Oakley will be putting another team together to support the charity chosen by JP Morgan.
Support Our Soldiers
In December 2013, the Oakley Group prepared Christmas care packages to be sent to members of the British Armed Forces serving overseas. Since the formation of the charity in 2003, the Support Our Soldiers appeal has sent over 130,000 morale boosting care packages to those on the frontline. The charity also offers support to families of servicemen and women who are serving on the frontline at Christmas.
