Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity

November 2015

Royal Brompton Hospital has accepted the first patient in its new state-of-the-art Hybrid Theatre, which will transform the treatment of heart patients.

The Theatre combines complex imaging equipment in an environment where different surgical procedures can take place at the same time; series of procedures which would normally take weeks, or even months, can be done on the same day. The first hybrid theatre operation took place on 9 November 2015.

Oakley are proud to have been a long-term supporter of the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity, and to have been able to contribute towards the charity’s challenge of raising £4.5m funding for the new theatre.

For further information about the charity please visit rbhcharity.org and for details about the new Hybrid Theatre, including a virtual tour, please visit rbhcharity.org/hybrid-appeal/
